The figurine7 questions

What's it made of, and does it last?

High-grade 3D printing resin, with the color printed into the material and sealed under a UV-resistant varnish. No glued-on face, no paint that flakes off. Care: a dry cloth, and keep it out of direct sun. That's it.

Which size should I get?

7 cm, Desk size, from 69 €: about 1 oz, about as tall as a deck of cards standing up; 10 cm, Everyday size, from 99 €: about 2 oz, about as tall as a soda can; 14 cm, Centerpiece, from 169 €: about 6 oz, about as tall as a pint glass. Grab the nearest one of those and you've got the footprint. You pick the size as you order, and the figurine comes out at exactly that scale.

How many different figurines can I get?

3 styles × 8 universes, so 24 possible figurines, plus 8 formats: from a faithful portrait to full ceremony dress, from you on your own to a family of four. You don't have to work the combination out in your head: pick the style or the universe, and the other one changes in a click on the page. See every collection.

Will it actually look like me?

Honest answer: it looks like you turned into a figurine, not like a 3D scan. The style rounds some features on purpose. The likeness comes from your photos, and we check and correct every model before it prints, so the people who know you recognize you at a glance. The rest has a name: the same-face guarantee. The render you approve is the exact file that goes to production, or you get your money back. That yes is the heart of how it works.

Can you engrave the base?

Yes: up to 30 characters for 14 €. A name, a date, a short message. It's what people add on weddings, new babies and going-away gifts.

What color is the base?

Black by default: it works with every style and makes the colors pop. More base colors are coming, and engraving works on all of them.

Does it stand up, or does it tip over?

It stands. The base is the widest and heaviest part of the print, and the 14 cm size gets internal ballast on top of that. A bumped shelf won't put it on the floor.

The photos6 questions

How many photos do you need?

3 to 6 per character. Fewer than that and the likeness drops off; more adds nothing. You upload them during the order: they're what your preview is built from, so the order doesn't go through without them. The framings that work are in the photo guide.

Which photos work best?

Recent, well lit, one face per photo. The ideal set: one straight-on shot plus one or two three-quarter angles, in daylight. Group photos are still the number one likeness killer.

Do I need a professional camera?

No. Any recent phone is plenty; light and sharpness count for far more than the gear. The only real problems are blur and beauty filters, which melt the likeness away.

What about glasses, hats, a beard or dyed hair?

All of it works, and those are often the best figurines: what your photos wear, the figurine wears. Two tips: slip in one photo without sunglasses so we have your eyes, and one without a hat so we have your hair.

Can I get one of my kid?

Yes, and grandparents never recover. For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian sends the photos and approves the render; that consent is part of the order flow.

Can I get one of my pet?

Yes. A pet is a format, not a separate product: made from its photos like any other face, on its own or sharing a base with its human. See the pet figurines.

Ordering & payment9 questions

Which payment methods do you take?

Cards and mobile payment, through a secure payment provider: your card details never touch our servers. You're charged when you order, and refunded in full if you never approve the render.

How soon do I see my render?

Days, not weeks: after payment, your 3D render lands in your inbox in cirka 2 til 3 dage. You approve it, or you send it back for changes, before anything is printed. Production only starts on your yes.

What if the render isn't right?

You send it back. Every order includes 2 rounds of changes: you point at what's off, we adjust, you look again. If it never looks like you, you get your money back. Nothing prints without your approval.

What if I forget to approve the render?

You approve the render before anything is printed, and the approval email says so in plain words: Hvis vi ikke hører fra dig inden for 48 timer efter at have sendt renderingen, starter produktionen på den version, vi foreslog. Want changes instead? A reply inside that window puts everything on hold.

Can I put several figurines in one order?

Yes: the cart takes as many figurines as you want in a single payment, with a single delivery. Each figurine has its own photos, its own style, its own universe and its own render to approve.

Is there a discount for several figurines?

Yes, and it's on the page at all times: 5% off from 1 figurine · 10% off from 2 figurines · 15% off from 3 figurines. And if you want the same figurine twice, the second copy costs 59 € instead of 99 €: the 3D model is already paid for, so all that's left is the print.

Is shipping free?

Free shipping from 79 €, and nothing extra shows up at the door. That threshold applies to the cart total, accessories included.

Do you take bulk or team orders?

Yes: a figurine of the whole team is our number one business request. From 5 characters, go through the quote form and a human prices it for you.

Can I cancel my order?

Until you approve the render: yes, no reason needed and refunded in full, since nothing has been produced. Once the render is approved, the file goes to the printer and the order is locked. Personlig vare: ingen returnering, når produktionen er startet. The details are in the terms.

Production & delivery6 questions

Can I change my photos after approving the render?

No: the render you approve is the exact file that goes to production, which is the whole point of the approval step. Before you approve, everything can change: photos, style, universe, format, size, engraving, all of it.

How long does it take, and can I track my order?

Production takes 7 business days once you approve the render, then it ships tracked. Count on 6 to 10 days from order to doorstep, and checkout shows you the dated window before you pay. In a hurry? Express (+34 €) brings production down to 4 business days. One email at every step: modeled, printed, shipped, with the tracking number in the last one. For comparison, made-to-order work like this is usually quoted at 4 to 7 weeks.

Where do you ship?

Worldwide, from one catalog: the language you're reading changes the words and the currency, not what you can order. Every figurine ships tracked, and the price you see at checkout is the price you pay, tax included.

Can it arrive gift-ready?

Every figurine goes out in a sturdy matte box, with no price anywhere on or in the parcel: it can go straight under the tree. Wrapping paper is the only job we leave you.

What if it arrives broken, or wrong?

We reprint it: broken on arrival, or clearly different from the render you approved, and it gets reprinted free. One photo is enough, no argument. Your approved render is kept, so the reprint comes out identical.

Can I reprint the same figurine later?

Yes: your approved 3D model is kept and stays printable, so a new order skips the photos and the modeling, at a lower price since the modeling is already paid for. Same face, same pose, fresh print: to replace a broken one, or to give one to grandma.

Your data & the fine print5 questions

Is this a real store?

As real as the figurine that ends up on your shelf. Real prints, real tracking numbers, every model checked and corrected before it prints, and one rule above all the others: you approve the exact render before anything is printed, or you get your money back. The whole trust model fits in that sentence.

What happens to my photos?

They're used to model your figurine, then deleted after production. They go nowhere else: no advertising, no resale, no surprise use. The details are in the privacy policy.

Are my photos used to train anything?

Never. They're used to model your figurine and nothing else: no training, no dataset, no exceptions. That's a hard line, not a checkbox buried in your settings.

Who owns my photos?

You do, full stop. You give us just enough rights to model and make your figurine, and nothing more. No advertising, no resale, no surprise use.

Can I talk to a human?

Yes. Write to contact@joylamp.com and a real person answers. No bot, no ticket maze.
